“Here we go” – A prominent Italian Jounalist Fabrizio Romano has officially confirmed that another Chelsea player is in the final steps to leave the club to another rival Premier League club, shortly after Noni Madueke’s move to Arsenal

The transfer saga involving Noni Madueke’s £52 million move to Arsenal had barely concluded when Chelsea finalized yet another significant exit, highlighting their intent to streamline the squad ahead of any summer acquisitions.

Many fans had already speculated who might be next to leave Stamford Bridge—and it’s a name that has consistently appeared in transfer rumors recently.

Djordje Petrovic is now set for a switch within the Premier League, with Chelsea securing the fee they were aiming for and Bournemouth preparing to welcome a new starting goalkeeper.

According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal is at the final stage, with Chelsea accepting Bournemouth’s £25 million offer. Petrovic is expected to complete his medical soon.

Romano’s confirmation of Petrovic’s departure comes shortly after Madueke’s Arsenal deal was revealed. Despite lingering questions over Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen, Chelsea have opted to part ways with Petrovic. This move could prove contentious, especially if the Serbian goalkeeper impresses at his new club.

Petrovic shone during his loan at Strasbourg last season, earning their Player of the Season accolade, and many believe he could thrive at Bournemouth.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are still in search of a strong competitor for the starting goalkeeper role.
