DRESSING ROOM ERUPTS! 😳 Bruno Fernandes threatens to QUIT as captain after explosive Carrington row with Carrick! 💥🔴
EXCLUSIVE: BRUNO’S CARRINGTON EXPLOSION — UNITED CAPTAIN IN SENSATIONAL DRESSING ROOM SHOWDOWN WITH CARRICK
CARLETON PLACE, CARRINGTON — Bruno Fernandes has blown the roof off Manchester United’s Carrington training complex, launching a explosive 10-minute rant in front of the entire first-team squad and directly confronting manager Michael Carrick following Saturday’s dismal 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Tensions inside the Red Devils’ camp reached boiling point on Sunday morning when the squad reconvened to review the fallout from Stamford Bridge. With United now winless in their last nine matches in all competitions and sliding to a perilous 17th in the Premier League table, the Portuguese playmaker took matters into his own hands in an unprecedented public challenge to club leadership.
Witnesses inside Carrington claim an incensed Fernandes stood up in the middle of the debrief room, pointed directly at World Cup winner Lisandro MartÃnez—who was sent off in the 63rd minute against Chelsea for a second bookable offense—and let rip with an uncompromising ultimatum.
“I Will Personally Hand Over This Armband”
According to sources present during the fiery exchange, Fernandes did not hold back as he turned his anger toward his senior international teammate in front of Carrick and his coaching staff:
> “I respect what you’ve done for your country, but if you walk back into that tunnel after getting sent off like that again, you don’t belong in this shirt,” Fernandes bellowed. “Some of us are fighting for our lives here, while you act like you’re above the club. If the manager won’t bench you for Tuesday’s Champions League match, then I will personally hand over this captain’s armband!”

The extraordinary outburst left squad members stunned into silence. Carrick, who is already facing intense scrutiny over his future with INEOS execs monitoring the situation closely ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Champions League tie against AS Roma, stepped in to restore order, but the damage was done.
A Locker Room on the Edge
The dramatic confrontation is the latest sign of deep-seated dysfunction at Old Trafford. Manchester United was completely outmatched in the second half at Stamford Bridge, conceding goals to Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer shortly after MartÃnez received his second yellow card.
Fernandes had only just returned to the starting lineup on Saturday after being benched during the recent loss to Bournemouth following public remarks criticizing Carrick’s tactical approach. The skipper’s latest explosive outburst highlights a complete breakdown in player discipline and authority as the team heads into a season-defining European fixture on Tuesday night.
Whether Carrick responds to his captain’s ultimatum by dropping the Argentine defender against Roma remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Old Trafford is on the verge of total meltdown.
