**Liverpool**, **Manchester United**, and **Tottenham Hotspur** are preparing to go head-to-head in the transfer market as they all look to bring in a standout **Premier League** performer.
With just over two weeks left until the window closes on **September 1**, several top-flight clubs are working quickly to finalize last-minute deals.
**Liverpool** are actively chasing their top choice, **Alexander Isak**, aiming to make a major addition to their forward line. At the same time, **Tottenham** are ramping up attempts to sign **Crystal Palace** midfielder **Eberechi Eze** — who was previously connected to **Arsenal**.
In contrast, **Manchester United** are adjusting their strategy after failing to secure **Brighton**’s **Carlos Baleba**, despite offering close to £100m. The club has already redirected its focus toward another midfield option, though they now find themselves in direct competition with **Liverpool** and **Spurs**, who are both tracking the same player.
All signs point to a thrilling conclusion to the summer transfer window, with top **English** clubs locked in a struggle for crucial signings.
As per **The Daily Mail**, **Liverpool**, **Manchester United**, and **Tottenham Hotspur** have all identified **Brentford** captain **Nathan Collins** as a defensive target.
For **Liverpool**, Collins is seen as a possible key addition in central defence, especially with ongoing rumours surrounding **Ibrahima Konaté**’s potential exit — either this summer or in 2026. The club has already brought in **Giovanni Leoni** from **Parma** in a £26m transfer, and is also chasing **Marc Guehi** of **Crystal Palace** to strengthen their backline.
On the other hand, **Manchester United** are still aiming to boost their defence, having previously added **Bryan Mbeumo** from **Brentford** earlier in the transfer period. However, further signings could hinge on player sales, with both **Alejandro Garnacho** and **Jadon Sancho** reportedly on the list of possible departures.
As all three teams continue their pursuit, **Brentford** may soon be fighting hard to retain their captain, with the window moving swiftly toward its end.
