Ruben Amorim is expected to include five promising Manchester United academy talents in the squad for the match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United have included five academy graduates in their squad for Sunday’s trip to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur, following a series of midweek injuries.

 

During his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim hinted that key players could be unavailable, but Amad’s season-ending injury came as an unexpected setback. Additionally, Kobbie Mainoo is set to miss a few weeks, while Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer have also been ruled out of the Spurs clash.

 

As reported by Scoop, a trusted source on United’s academy, Amorim has turned to Carrington’s emerging talents to fill the gaps left by these injuries. The coach has called up Jack Moorhouse and Sekou Kone, with Kone now fit to compete after an injury delayed his integration into the squad.

 

Academy forward Chido Obi, who has been in excellent form, has also been included and could get minutes if United struggles to break down Ange Postecoglou’s side. Meanwhile, left-back Harry Amass, who was previously held back due to physicality concerns, has impressed Amorim and could finally make his first-team debut.

 

Goalkeeper Elyh Harrison is also expected to travel, having been retained by the club instead of going out on loan. He was on the bench for United’s previous league match against Crystal Palace.

 

Among the call-ups, Moorhouse, Kone, and Obi have the strongest chance of featuring in the game. Amorim’s final team selection against Spurs will be closely watched.
