Chelsea urged to figure out a way to terminate their transfer deal with Manchester United.

Chelsea have been urged to explore ways to terminate their transfer agreement with Premier League rivals Manchester United.

 

The Blues secured a season-long loan deal for England international Jadon Sancho last summer, with a clause requiring them to sign him permanently for a fee between £20-25 million at the end of the season. However, the move has not gone as planned.

 

Sancho, who initially joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021, struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford. Hoping to reignite his career at Chelsea—a club he supported as a child—he has instead endured a disappointing season, scoring just two goals so far.

 

Former Manchester United and England defender Paul Parker believes Chelsea must be regretting the decision to bring in Sancho. His concerns were further amplified by Sancho’s recent social media post, where he responded to Marcus Rashford’s Instagram update with the word “freedom”, a remark widely seen as a dig at his parent club.

 

Parker criticized Sancho’s attitude, calling him a “weak little boy” who is using others to express his grievances. He also warned Rashford to avoid getting involved in unnecessary drama. According to Parker, Chelsea will now be desperate to back out of the deal but could face difficulties finding another club willing to take the player.

 

With Sancho underperforming and facing criticism from Chelsea fans, the club now faces a dilemma: commit to a costly and uncertain permanent signing or attempt to negotiate an escape from the agreement.
