According to Prominent Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jadon Sancho, who has struggled to make an impact at Manchester United, is reportedly set to complete a medical with his prospective new team.

Jadon Sancho appears to be on the verge of leaving Manchester United permanently.

The winger has found himself on the outskirts of the squad following a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag in late 2023. During the January transfer window, Sancho returned to his former club Borussia Dortmund on loan in hopes of revitalizing his career. Despite showing glimpses of his talent—particularly in the Champions League—the German side opted not to make the move permanent.

Manchester United then arranged a loan deal with Chelsea that included an obligation to buy. However, the Blues were given an option to withdraw, which they exercised after Sancho declined to lower his wage demands.

Since his £73 million arrival in 2021, the 25-year-old has become a challenging asset for United to offload, mainly due to his high salary, which has deterred potential suitors.

**Juventus closing in on Sancho deal**

Juventus, however, remain persistent in their interest and are reportedly close to finalizing a deal. According to Italian journalist Marco Giordano, Sancho’s agent, Emeka Obasi, is currently in Turin to finalize the transfer. The agreement between Juventus and United is believed to be worth around €15 million, with United willing to offer Sancho a severance package to facilitate the move.

A medical is expected to take place before the end of the week, signaling the move is nearly complete.

**Sancho sale could boost United’s rebuild under Amorim**

As of mid-July, United have made only one signing—activating Matheus Cunha’s release clause at Wolves. Ineos, the club’s new decision-makers, are also pursuing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, though negotiations have been hindered by the Premier League side’s valuation.

With a constrained budget this summer, United may need to offload players like Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, or Antony to create financial flexibility and provide manager Rúben Amorim with the resources he needs to rebuild the squad effectively.
