According to Prominent Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of securing the signing of a dynamic Mali international striker, with negotiations progressing rapidly for what is being described as a bold transfer move.

Manchester United are reportedly intensifying their pursuit of striker El Bilal Toure, with the Mali international emerging as Ruben Amorim’s top attacking target. Toure is one of two signings expected to arrive before the transfer window closes.

United have had a mixed start under Amorim, with eight wins and seven defeats in his first 18 games, prompting the club to ramp up their recruitment efforts. With just days left in the window, they are set to bring in two more additions alongside teenage defender Ayden Heaven, who joined from Arsenal.

The first expected arrival is Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu, who is set to complete a £29.3m (€35m, $37.3m) move this weekend. However, United are also pushing for a deal to sign Atalanta-owned forward Bilal Toure before Monday’s deadline.

According to Foot Mercato, negotiations have accelerated for the 23-year-old, who joined Atalanta as a replacement for Rasmus Hojlund but is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart. Despite missing time due to injury, he has recorded four goals and an assist in 13 Bundesliga appearances.

A Complex Transfer Operation

Reports suggest United’s pursuit of Toure involves a multi-club arrangement. Stuttgart, who have an €18m (£15m, $18.6m) purchase option on the striker, are considering activating it before selling him to United for around €25m (£21m, $31m). If the deal goes through, United are expected to loan him back to Stuttgart for the remainder of the season.

Amorim reportedly sees Toure as an upgrade over both Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, neither of whom have fully convinced him. The move is viewed as a cost-effective alternative to big-money targets like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres.

Rashford Exit and Goalkeeper Search

The deal for Toure has been made possible by the expected departure of Marcus Rashford, who is close to finalizing a move to Aston Villa. Amorim has been keen to offload Rashford and Casemiro before the deadline, with Villa manager Unai Emery personally pushing for the transfer.

Meanwhile, United are also eyeing a new goalkeeper to eventually replace André Onana, though this move is expected to take place in the summer, with Chelsea also reportedly in the race for the Bundesliga shot-stopper.
