Real Madrid transfer update: Three Los Blancos players reportedly listed for sale as Xabi Alonso delivers strong statement during Club World Cup.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, and Dani Ceballos during the current summer transfer window, as head coach Xabi Alonso is not planning to include them in his squad for the 2025–26 season.

 

Rodrygo’s future at the Bernabéu has become uncertain, with strong interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian is said to be feeling unsettled, and his limited involvement during the Club World Cup—just 92 minutes played and no appearance in the semi-final against PSG—has only fueled the speculation.

 

According to Fichajes, Brahim Diaz and Dani Ceballos are also on the list of possible departures, with Alonso reportedly not viewing them as essential for his long-term project at the club. Their minimal involvement in recent fixtures is seen as a clear signal of their reduced role moving forward.

 

When asked about Rodrygo’s absence, Alonso clarified: “These were tactical decisions based on the flow of the game. We needed a different profile at that moment. This doesn’t reflect any long-term choices. The rotation during the Club World Cup was minimal, and things may change with time.”

 

Ceballos played only 70 minutes across four matches in the same tournament, highlighting his struggle for game time amid fierce competition. Although he is under contract until June 2027 and contributed positively last season, the managerial change from Carlo Ancelotti to Alonso could spell the end of his time in Madrid. Reports also suggest Alonso is targeting a new midfielder, which would further limit Ceballos’s chances of regular action.

 

Meanwhile, Brahim Diaz is attracting attention from Bayern Munich, who are said to be closely monitoring his situation. Despite scoring four goals and assisting twice in La Liga last season—and adding two more goals and an assist in the Champions League—he is not viewed as a starter under Alonso. The Bundesliga giants reportedly see him as a versatile option across the forward line and are considering a bid, with Real Madrid valuing him around €40 million (£34.5 million).
