To address this, The Telegraph reports that Chelsea is open to parting ways with six players to finance the acquisition of a new center-back. The players potentially on the transfer list include Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, Axel Disasi, Cesare Casadei, Ben Chilwell, and Christopher Nkunku.

Speaking about Fofana’s injury, Maresca recently confirmed the defender could miss the rest of the season. “Unfortunately, he might be out for the season. We don’t know exactly, but it could be for a significant part of it,” Maresca said. “It’s worse than initially thought after further testing. It’s a hamstring issue, and we’ll be without him for a while.”
