Palace are reportedly willing to negotiate around £40m, despite valuing Guehi at £70m, to avoid losing him for free next year. Guehi played a major role in their FA Cup win last season and is currently an England international.

 

Securing personal terms is a major breakthrough for Liverpool, as Guehi is attracting interest from other clubs including Tottenham, Newcastle, and Inter Milan. Previous bids from Spurs and Newcastle have been rejected.

 

Guehi could choose to run down his contract at Palace to secure guaranteed playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup. However, if he joins Liverpool, he will aim to become a regular starter under Arne Slot, especially with Ibrahima Konaté rejecting a contract offer and Virgil van Dijk signing only a two-year extension.
