“If Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea want any chance at stopping Liverpool this season, these two players are the key to doing it. Their performances could be the difference in this title race, You need to sign these players in the next transfer window if you want to stop them” says Micah Richards as he identifies the two stars capable of halting Liverpool’s charge to Premier League glory. Richards highlights the critical roles these players could play in disrupting the Reds’ dominance, urging their teams to step up before it’s too late.

The Reds delivered a commanding 2-0 victory over Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, with Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah finding the back of the net. The result further cemented Liverpool’s dominance, leaving them 11 points ahead of City, who are struggling with a seven-game winless streak across all competitions.
With Arsenal and Chelsea now nine points behind as Liverpool’s closest challengers, Richards believes the title race is out of their hands. Instead, he suggests that only injuries to key players Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk could halt Liverpool’s momentum under Arne Slot, who has overseen an impressive 18-1-1 record since taking charge.
“If they were to lose Salah or Van Dijk, it would be a different story,” Richards explained on Sky Sports. “We talk about big players making a difference—Odegaard and Saka for Arsenal, Rodri and De Bruyne for City. Salah is incredible; even when he’s not playing well, he impacts the game in crucial moments. And Van Dijk is just as pivotal at the back.”
Richards added, “If those two stay fit, it’s hard to see anyone stopping Liverpool this season.”
