Bacary Sagna believes Paul Pogba would embrace the opportunity to return to Manchester United, with new manager Ruben Amorim reportedly open to the idea.

Pogba, who was handed a four-year doping ban after unknowingly consuming an illegal substance, saw his suspension reduced to 18 months earlier this year by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The 31-year-old midfielder is set to resume training in January and could return to competitive play by March.

Having rejoined United in 2016 for a then-club-record £90 million, Pogba spent six seasons at Old Trafford, winning two trophies before departing for Juventus. Despite challenges during his second stint at the club, Sagna, a former France and Arsenal star, claims Pogba still holds a deep affection for United.

Sagna further revealed Pogba’s lingering love for the club: “I’ve spoken to Paul many times, and he genuinely loves United. While his previous return didn’t go as planned, he wasn’t the only player who faced difficulties during that period.”
