According to recent reports, INEOS is prepared to offer £50 million plus Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee in a bid to secure Lautaro Martinez, hailed as “the best No. 9 in the world.” The January transfer window marks INEOS’ first opportunity to reshape the squad under manager Ruben Amorim.

While financial constraints from significant summer spending may limit United’s business, Amorim is keen to bolster his team with reinforcements. Among their transfer pursuits, Jules Kounde of Barcelona has also emerged as a target, although his astronomical €1 billion release clause makes that move unlikely.

Instead, United have turned their focus to Martinez, the prolific Inter Milan striker. Reports suggest United are ready to propose £50 million alongside Zirkzee, aiming to entice Inter into parting ways with their star forward. Martinez, who has netted 32 goals in 70 matches for Argentina and boasts 135 goals in 297 appearances for Inter, has proven himself as one of the world’s elite strikers.

While Zirkzee has struggled since joining Manchester United, his prior success in Serie A, particularly with Bologna, might appeal to Inter as a replacement.
