Two Premier League teams are on high alert as a Chelsea player is now up for sale at £45 million.

According to a report from Chelsea News, the Blues are reportedly open to offloading Romeo Lavia for significantly less than the fee they paid to acquire him from Southampton.

 

The Belgian midfielder has found it difficult to make his mark at Stamford Bridge due to persistent injury issues that have plagued him since his arrival in west London.

 

Despite his struggles, Lavia showed immense promise during his time at Southampton, and it’s likely he’ll attract interest if Chelsea decides to part ways with him this summer. The Chelsea FC Blog claims that two unnamed Premier League teams are already monitoring the situation, and more clubs could soon join the race.

 

If Lavia can overcome his fitness problems and secure regular playing time, he still has the potential to fulfill his early promise. However, it’s becoming less likely that his breakthrough will come at Chelsea.

 

The Blues are known for signing top young talent, but not all of their recent investments have paid off. Lavia seems to be edging toward that list of players whose moves haven’t quite worked out.

 

As Chelsea prepares for a possible squad overhaul under Enzo Maresca, Lavia may not be the only departure. Others like Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Joao Felix are also expected to be made available.
