Florentino Perez is pursuing four potential signings: three on free transfers and a paid acquisition of Wirtz.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is focused on reinforcing the squad to address weaknesses faced this season.

According to AS, the club is planning four major signings for next summer rather than the winter window. Three of these involve free agents—Alexander Arnold, Alphonso Davies, and Malick Thiaw—while the fourth target is Florian Wirtz, currently contracted with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027.

Negotiations for Arnold and Davies are advancing, with January marking the legal start for these discussions due to their contracts expiring on June 30.

Thiaw’s situation, however, is uncertain, as Bayern Munich has shown strong interest, and Real Madrid hasn’t confirmed their intent.

The pursuit of Wirtz presents the biggest challenge. With a contract lasting until 2027 and an estimated value of €130 million, he’s highly sought after, and Leverkusen will aim for a significant financial return.

Real Madrid needs a playmaker, especially with Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos possibly leaving soon, making Wirtz a prime target. However, his intentions for next summer remain unknown, as he could consider other clubs or prioritize Real Madrid.
