Drawing from his own experience under Sir Alex Ferguson and in a title-winning United squad, Neville rarely sees the same level of unity in the current team.

Speaking on *The Gary Neville Podcast* following the 1-1 draw, he noted, “United, once again, look disjointed, lacking any cohesive style or play.” He emphasized that, given the significant investment in the squad, fans should expect more skill and cooperation between players, yet at times, they appear unfamiliar with each other on the field.

Observing the game as a commentator for Sky Sports, Neville felt the performances of Rashford and Garnacho specifically fell short.

He continued, “I’m reluctant to single them out, but these two players, as academy graduates, should have an inherent connection with the fans and a stronger work ethic.” Comparing them to other Premier League wingers, Neville highlighted how players at Arsenal, City, and Liverpool constantly track back and defend, showing greater dedication.

He mentioned a moment where Chelsea’s Malo Gusto advanced down the field with little pressure, showing how United’s players were missing the critical element of hard work.
