Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with Juventus reportedly withdrawing from the race.
Earlier this week, reports from Italy suggested that United had reached an agreement with Napoli to activate Osimhen’s release clause this summer. According to Tuttosport, the Reds are prepared to offer £64 million for the Nigerian forward, with Rasmus Hojlund included as part of the deal.
Tuttosport further claims that Juventus, who had made Osimhen a top priority, have now shifted focus after United’s negotiations with the striker.
The Italian club is now targeting Atalanta and Italy forward Mateo Retegui, who is valued at €50 million (£42 million), while Ademola Lookman has also emerged as a possible alternative.
Despite these developments, it remains uncertain whether Osimhen will ultimately make the switch to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Liam Delap has surfaced as a potential signing for incoming manager Ruben Amorim, with a £30 million release clause triggered following Ipswich’s relegation.
Additionally, Matheus Cunha of Wolves remains strongly linked with a move to United, although the club would need to meet his £62.5 million release clause for the deal to happen.
