Previously overlooked Manchester United player returns to training, with a summer departure looking inevitable.

A Manchester United player has returned to first-team training at Carrington, with a potential summer move being considered.

 

Manager Ruben Amorim is carefully managing his squad’s workload as the team gets ready to face Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend. Despite the domestic fixture, the main focus remains on their Europa League campaign, with just two matches separating them from a possible final in Bilbao.

 

Amorim has eased the physical demands on several players, partially to prepare them for possible transfers in the coming window. Among those seen in training on Wednesday was Dan Gore, who has only made two senior appearances for the club. The midfielder had a loan stint at Rotherham United earlier in the season, which ended prematurely due to a foot injury.

 

Now back at United, Gore was spotted training alongside the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, and Bruno Fernandes. Although key players such as Amad and Lisandro Martinez remain out, there’s still hope for Amad’s return before the season wraps up.

 

Once crowned Under-21 Player of the Year in 2023, Gore has seen younger talents like Kobbie Mainoo and Toby Collyer rise above him in the squad hierarchy. United are reportedly open to either loaning or selling him this summer, especially with his current contract set to expire in June 2026.

 

The Red Devils will continue their league campaign on Sunday with an away match against Bournemouth.
