“He’s a very very player but he can really be really frustrating to deal with. He makes everything look so easy and he makes us look like fools most of the time. I love him but I can’t stand him sometimes” – Chelsea’s Levi Colwill reveals why Cole Palmer is ‘frustrating’ and how he can’t stand him

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has described his teammate Cole Palmer as ‘frustrating,’ using a term no one has recently associated with the young star.

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has described his teammate Cole Palmer as ‘frustrating,’ using a term no one has recently associated with the young star.

Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City last summer, has been anything but frustrating, with praise pouring in from players, pundits, fans, and the media for his impressive performances.

Colwill’s remark, however, is actually a compliment, as it highlights Palmer’s exceptional talent. Colwill is just the latest to join the chorus of admiration for the attacking midfielder.

“He’s not the same Cole Palmer when he’s up against me [in training],” Colwill jokingly told *The Guardian*. “But seriously, he’s incredible.

“If you give him even half a yard, it’s a goal. He’s so casual about it, which can be frustrating because he’ll nutmeg you, score, and walk away like nothing happened.

The worst part is, you can’t get back at him. Whether he’s outside or inside the box, there’s a 95% chance it’ll be a goal. You see that in most games.”

It seems Palmer is a real challenge in training as well as on the field, one of those rare players where everything clicks—a true x-factor with something special about him.
