Feyenoord manager Arne Slot reportedly aims to secure Palmeiras midfielder Luis Guilherme as his inaugural signing upon joining Liverpool, according to reports.

Initially, Liverpool was linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso and Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim for their managerial position before eventually settling on Slot.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed Slot’s move to Liverpool, indicating that the negotiations involved his salary, backroom staff, and contract length, which might not be extensive initially but could be extended later.

Romano also detailed the compensation structure, suggesting an upfront payment of €9 million plus potential add-ons totaling €2 million, along with an additional €13-15 million for the entire backroom staff, payable within a year.

Regarding Slot’s potential signings, Spanish outlet Nacional reported that he intends to bring in Palmeiras’ rising talent, Guilherme, whom some compare to Ronaldinho due to his remarkable skills.

Although Liverpool is willing to offer around €20 million, Palmeiras remains firm on their €50 million asking price for the 18-year-old midfielder.
