According to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is no solid agreement between Mason Greenwood and Lazio.

The forward’s future is expected to be a major topic in the upcoming transfer window.

Initially, it was speculated that with the new owners, INEOS, Greenwood might get an opportunity to revive his career at Old Trafford. However, recent reports suggest otherwise.

Greenwood has shown promise during his loan spell at Getafe this season, although he hasn’t been exceptionally outstanding in the league.

Despite being a regular starter, appearing in 29 matches and scoring eight goals, his early-season form attracted interest from La Liga giants like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

But concerns over fan reaction and the player’s price tag seem to have deterred their pursuit.

As a result, a move to Serie A appears more plausible for the 22-year-old. Lazio and Juventus have both been linked to Greenwood recently.

Romano mentioned in his briefing that the prevailing notion is for Greenwood to be sold to generate income for the club.

However, Lazio’s involvement doesn’t seem prominent at the moment, despite their interest last summer, which was eventually overshadowed by Getafe.

The uncertainty surrounding Greenwood’s future reflects a broader ambiguity about INEOS and United’s intentions.

While many anticipate his departure from Old Trafford, the lack of official confirmation leaves both clubs and fans in the dark.

This issue needs prompt and decisive resolution to avoid a repeat of the indecisiveness witnessed last summer, which reflected poorly on the club.
