Manchester United is aiming to make a significant impact in the transfer market with a triple summer acquisition worth £194 million, amid plans for Erik Ten Hag departure from the club.

Manchester United is gearing up for a significant summer transfer window, reportedly eyeing a move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao.

The potential overhaul comes amidst Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s recent acquisition of 27.7% ownership from the Glazers, granting him control over football operations with the aim of implementing substantial changes in recruitment and club infrastructure.

Ratcliffe has already secured the services of Omar Berrada as the new CEO and is pursuing Dan Ashworth from Newcastle as the sporting director, along with Jason Wilcox from Southampton as the technical director.

Amidst speculation about manager Erik ten Hag’s future and potential player departures, Man Utd is looking to bolster its squad with new additions.

Three players have reportedly caught their attention, with Leao being a prime target. The Portuguese international is seen as a solution to United’s goal-scoring concerns, although his €150m price tag could pose a challenge, especially with competition from Arsenal.

In addition to Leao, South American talents Fluminense’s Andre and Wolves’ Joao Gomes are also on United’s radar.

While no formal offers have been made for either player, they are considered key targets for the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Gomes is valued at around £40m (€47m), while Andre could be acquired for approximately €30m. Altogether, these potential acquisitions would amount to €227m (£194m) for Man Utd.
