Ancelotti had previously expressed his intention to remain with Real Madrid until the end, and Florentino Perez acknowledged that there was currently no better coach for the job.
This confirmation puts an end to speculations about potential successors for the Real Madrid coaching position, with Xabi Alonso being a frontrunner, alongside considerations for Zinedine Zidane and Raúl.
Zidane, in particular, is significantly affected by this development. Initially, it seemed that if Bayer Leverkusen didn’t release Xabi Alonso, Zidane could step in as the coach—a plausible option.
