“Liverpool’s performance against Manchester United was absolutely terrible. I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. And the most terrible performance came from who they take as their main forward. It’s just disgraceful” – Pundit expresses criticism toward Liverpool recent performance and concern over recent ‘issues’ with Reds’ key player.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has expressed concern over the recent dip in form of Reds striker Darwin Nunez.

Despite a promising start to his second season at Anfield, Nunez has now gone ten games without scoring, posing a significant challenge for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Liverpool, expected to win against Manchester United, settled for a surprising 0-0 draw, allowing Arsenal to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League with their 2-0 victory over Brighton.

“Nunez’s recent struggles might see a turnaround soon, but currently, it’s understandable why Hamann identifies the 24-year-old as a potential weak link in the Liverpool team.

While acknowledging the absence of Alexis Mac Allister against Man Utd, Hamann believes Nunez’s dip in form is likely the more significant concern for the team at present.”

“I believe the absence of Mac Allister, who has been a standout midfielder, was noticeable.

However, the more pressing concern seems to be Nunez’s form since his notable goals against Newcastle, where expectations were high.

With only one or two goals scored since then, his recent performances are a cause for concern.

Nunez, who arrived from Benfica with an impressive goal record, has struggled to replicate that success at Liverpool, totaling 22 goals in 66 games since joining the club.”
