A player from Manchester United is reluctant to transfer in January amidst connections to Saudi interests.

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has recently emerged in connection with a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs speaking to Give Me Sport, the player is currently unenthusiastic about departing Manchester United in January and is not intrigued by a move to Saudi Arabia at the moment.

Reportedly, Saudi Arabian clubs are eyeing established Premier League players like Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, and Son Heung-min.

Jacobs mentioned, “Regarding Saudi Arabia, it’s unlikely that we’ll witness a similar transfer window in January as we did during the summer. Many of the high-profile names the Saudi clubs seek are more likely to be considered for the summer of 2024 rather than January. This is partly due to the deal-makers waiting to see how the league table evolves and also due to many quotas being nearly full or already full.”

He further added insights about player movements and potential exits, exemplifying the situation of Jesse Lingard, who trained with a Saudi club but couldn’t sign due to the club needing to offload two players first in January. Additionally, there’s a mention of Casemiro, along with others like De Bruyne, Salah, and Son, as prospective targets for 2024. However, the indication at present is that he is hesitant to depart from Manchester United mid-season.

Casemiro’s performance at Manchester United has been underwhelming, and the Brazilian international aims to rediscover his best form. Known as one of the finest defensive midfielders during his tenure at Real Madrid, he seeks to make a mark in the Premier League.
