Former Chelsea and England star Joe Cole has expressed his desire to have the opportunity to engage in a conversation with Jadon Sancho and his representatives in an effort to assist the struggling Manchester United winger.

Manchester United appears likely to part ways with Sancho during the January transfer window, according to information from Fabrizio Romano. However, Cole remains convinced that the 23-year-old can revive his career.

While Sancho showcased his immense talent during his time at Borussia Dortmund, it appears improbable that he will reach his full potential at Manchester United, given his significant decline in form since joining just over two years ago.

Engaging with someone like Cole, who had a successful career at the highest level, could be of considerable benefit to the English international. Cole, too, made his breakthrough as a wonderkid at a young age.

Cole began his career as a player known for his flair, but he successfully adapted his style as he matured. Hence, it is reasonable to consider him as an ideal candidate to provide valuable guidance to Sancho during this challenging phase of his career.

Quoting Cole from the Metro, he emphasized, “Jadon Sancho needs support. Jadon is an incredible footballer, especially considering the talent and quality he possesses, but he requires nurturing and perhaps a bit more maturity.”

He also acknowledged that while Sancho is an immensely talented young player, it’s difficult to envision the situation being resolved in its current state. For a resolution to occur, it would necessitate mutual effort from both parties.

Furthermore, Cole indicated that the current circumstances may not be conducive for Sancho at Manchester United, and while he’s uncertain about the player’s next move, he firmly believes that there is still a promising future for him.
