According to Football Insider, Mohamed Salah is set to depart from Liverpool at the end of the season.

There is an understanding in place for Salah to join the Saudi Pro League next summer, a move that has been in the rumor mill for a while. He has verbally agreed to the terms to join the Middle Eastern league.

During the summer transfer window, Al-Ittihad expressed interest in Salah and made a substantial £150 million offer for the 31-year-old.

However, Liverpool declined the offer and retained their Egyptian star. Saudi clubs were anticipated to make another attempt to sign Salah in the winter, as the PIF is eager to have him as their next marquee signing.

Nevertheless, Liverpool has made it clear that they won’t sell the former Roma forward during the winter transfer window, regardless of the offer.

The Saudi Pro League is determined to include Salah among its players. They are prepared to be patient until the end of the season and have already reached an agreement with the player for the transfer.

Salah has provided a verbal commitment to join the SPL and has accepted a preliminary deal for the move.

As he approaches his 32nd birthday at the end of the season and with his contract expiring in the summer of 2025, the SPL could secure his services for just slightly over £150 million.

Given that he will have just one year remaining on his contract next summer, Liverpool is looking to capitalize on his transfer, which aligns with the ambitions of the Saudi Pro League to have the Egyptian international on their roster.
