Jurgen Klopp, in his recent press conference, confirmed that Thiago Alcantara won’t be back in action until the New Year.

Thiago has been absent from the Liverpool squad since May due to surgery for a persistent hip issue.

His last starting appearance was in February during a Premier League match against Wolves.

Despite returning to team training in August, he encountered another setback as he neared a comeback, extending his absence. Klopp emphasized that Thiago’s return is anticipated at the beginning of the New Year, and the 32-year-old continues to face injury challenges.

Thiago, known for his exceptional skills, has faced a series of injury setbacks during his time at Anfield.

His absence has been felt by the coaching staff and fans, but currently, his return is not a pressing concern.

Liverpool acquired multiple midfielders in the summer transfer window, and given his extended period of inactivity, it will be challenging for the 32-year-old to secure playing time for the remainder of the season, especially with the midfield in Klopp’s team performing well.

Upon his return, Thiago may serve as a supplementary option, and hopefully, that return will take place early next year.
