Manchester United’s transfer business is far from over, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS ownership group reportedly stepping up efforts to complete a £130 million double swoop for two high-profile stars – Carlos Baleba and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

According to fresh reports, United have placed the Lille midfielder Baleba and PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma at the top of their priority list as they look to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad ahead of the new campaign. The combined outlay for both players could reach £130m, signalling a statement of intent from INEOS in their first full transfer window in control.

Baleba, 21, is seen as the ideal long-term solution in midfield, capable of adding physical presence, energy, and creativity. United believe his skill set can complement their current options and give them the upper hand in the Premier League title race.

Meanwhile, Donnarumma’s situation at PSG has caught the attention of Old Trafford chiefs. The Italian shot-stopper, who has been linked with a move away after reported tensions in Paris, is viewed as a potential game-changing signing. United are said to be ready to pounce should PSG sanction his exit.

In an intriguing twist, a Premier League star has been advised to snub interest from Manchester City and instead join United, with suggestions that Ten Hag’s project could offer him more guaranteed playing time and a central role in the team’s ambitions.

With the transfer deadline approaching, INEOS are accelerating talks, hoping to close both deals before rival clubs intervene. Should they succeed, the Red Devils’ summer business would look significantly stronger – and perhaps even title-c

hallenging.
