Manchester United Poised to Rival Newcastle for Sesko Signing

As per Bild, Newcastle recently submitted an offer worth £70 million (comprising €75m fixed and €5m in bonuses). Although Manchester United are prepared to make a similar offer, it’s worth noting that Leipzig have already rejected Newcastle’s bid.
The German club reportedly want a deal totaling around £74 million (€85m), including €10m in potential add-ons. Additionally, RB Leipzig are seeking a sell-on clause as part of the agreement for the 22-year-old forward.
With the new Premier League season just around the corner, both clubs are eager to bolster their attacking options. Sesko is a key target as United seek to improve on last season’s tally of just 44 league goals—only 7 of which came from their strikers.
Meanwhile, despite netting 23 goals in the Premier League last season, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak is currently training away from the squad and is believed to be interested in a move to Liverpool.
Sesko, who has 34 goal contributions in 64 Bundesliga matches, is still developing and could be on the verge of a breakthrough. Whether he ends up at Old Trafford or joins Newcastle for Champions League football
remains to be seen.
