A key attacker at La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid is preparing to ask new coach Xabi Alonso for a chance to showcase his skills in a different position next season.

Spanish football insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual has identified Rodrygo as the player likely to make this request.

Rodrygo, the Brazilian winger, has recently faced uncertainty about his future in Madrid amid growing Premier League interest. The 24-year-old is reportedly open to embracing a fresh challenge.

A crucial discussion with Alonso is expected soon, where Rodrygo aims to fully understand the new coach’s vision for the team.

During this meeting, Rodrygo plans to express his desire for a consistent opportunity to play in his preferred role on the left side of the attack.

Rodríguez Pascual revealed on ‘HandofArsenal’ via ‘X’ that Rodrygo feels the left wing is where he can best unleash his creativity and impact the game.

Last season, under Carlo Ancelotti, Rodrygo was mainly deployed on the right wing.
