Manchester United’s interest in Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is intensifying, with manager Ruben Amorim reportedly eager to reunite with the in-form Swedish star.

 

Gyokeres has delivered an outstanding season, scoring 52 goals and assisting 12 more across 48 matches.

 

Despite this impressive record, United’s pursuit faces hurdles, including tight finances and stiff competition from rival clubs.

 

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano noted that while United are keen, their Financial Fair Play constraints will heavily influence whether Amorim’s hopes become reality.

 

The club is in urgent need of a reliable striker following disappointing spells from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

 

Financial pressure may limit United’s move for Gyokeres

Arsenal, also chasing Gyokeres, are believed to be preparing an attractive offer. With Champions League status and a need for a consistent goal scorer, the Gunners could appeal to the forward.

 

While United are serious about signing Gyokeres, their financial situation and strong interest from Arsenal complicate the move. A final decision will likely rest on Champions League qualification.
