According to AS, Liverpool are said to be open to selling striker Darwin Nunez this summer, with an asking price set at £38 million.

Darwin Nunez’s time at Anfield has been largely inconsistent. During the 2024–25 campaign, he registered just seven goals and seven assists in 42 games, starting only eight times in the Premier League. His reduced involvement, coupled with questions from manager Arne Slot regarding his commitment in certain fixtures, has fueled uncertainty about his future.

Atlético Madrid has shown strong interest in the Uruguayan striker, with manager Diego Simeone eyeing him as a possible replacement for Ángel Correa. While Liverpool are open to a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy—on the condition that the majority of his wages are covered—Nunez’s future continues to generate headlines.

Although there has been Saudi Pro League interest, a move to a Champions League regular like Atlético Madrid could be more appealing. Liverpool appear ready to part ways with their record signing and are already working behind the scenes to find a replacement.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike is among the forwards reportedly on Liverpool’s radar. In midfield, the club has also been linked with Crystal Palace talent Adam Wharton.
