Liverpool prepared to offer club a huge £95m boost in major victory for Arne Slot.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to splash a huge sum on two major defensive reinforcements, aiming to reshape the squad in Arne Slot’s image. After a quiet transfer window last summer—only adding Federico Chiesa, who’s barely featured—Slot has worked with a team largely built before his arrival. That’s about to change.

The club is eyeing a £95m double swoop for Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez, according to the Daily Mail. Meeting Huijsen’s £50m release clause and paying £45m for Kerkez would mark a major investment in Liverpool’s back line. Kerkez, a promising left-back, and Huijsen, a left-sided centre-back, could form a long-term partnership, filling crucial gaps as veterans like Andy Robertson age and others like Konaté face uncertain futures.

With interest growing around players like Gomez and Quansah, bringing in fresh, high-potential talent is a priority. These signings would not only strengthen the defense but give Slot a squad better suited to his style—a serious win before even addressing the attack.

Looks like Liverpool’s getting serious about the Slot era.
