Alejandro Garnacho displays genuine Manchester United spirit with a direct nine-word request.

Alejandro Garnacho has expressed his honest reaction following Manchester United’s recent Premier League loss to Wolves.

Fans were optimistic heading into the game at Old Trafford after United’s dramatic comeback win over Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals. However, Ruben Amorim’s men couldn’t maintain the same momentum and were outplayed by a rejuvenated Wolves side.

Pablo Sarabia’s perfectly placed free-kick in the 77th minute proved decisive, securing all three points for the visitors. Despite Amorim stating after Thursday’s European win that his main focus would shift to continental competition, supporters will still expect strong performances in the Premier League.

The loss marked United’s fourth straight league match without a win, with only one goal scored across those fixtures. Despite the disappointing result, Garnacho remains defiant. He posted a picture on his Instagram story showing his frustration on the pitch, alongside the message: “We tried, recover this week, important part of the season for us is coming.”

Statistically, United dominated—holding 60% possession, attempting three times as many shots as Wolves, and completing nearly 200 more passes. However, Wolves did what mattered most: they found the net.

Garnacho’s statement holds weight, as United’s remaining hopes now rest on their Europa League journey. They face Athletic Club in the semi-finals, with the first leg on May 1 and the second at Old Trafford on May 8.
