Jamie Carragher has issued a bold “final request” to Mohamed Salah following his new contract with Liverpool.
Liverpool fans can breathe easier now that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract. His ongoing contract saga had cast a shadow over an otherwise exceptional season. Despite expressing doubts about staying, Salah has decided to extend his time at Anfield.
As reported by Rousing The Kop, Salah could remain with the Reds for an additional three years, with an option for an extra year in his new two-year deal. Throughout the negotiations, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has been outspoken, particularly criticizing Salah earlier in the season.
Carragher, who once called Salah “selfish” after some public comments in November, now has a new request following Salah’s contract signing. In his column for The Telegraph, Carragher joked about having Salah on Monday Night Football, saying, “I hope signing his contract doesn’t mean the end of his media interviews until the next round of negotiations!”
Carragher also reiterated his admiration for Salah, stating that Liverpool won’t find a better attacker this summer and defending the club’s handling of the situation, which had drawn some criticism. While Salah may not be eager to take up Carragher’s offer, it would certainly be an entertaining appearance.
