After months of anticipation surrounding the expiring contracts of Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, recent developments suggest that both players are edging closer to signing new deals.

Van Dijk was the first to hint at progress, with further signs from the club confirming discussions. Now, reports indicate Salah is also nearing a contract extension. Sources in Egypt have reported a potential agreement, which has been echoed by well-connected journalists like Paul Joyce of The Times and David Ornstein of The Athletic.

According to Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud, Salah is expected to sign a two-year contract worth approximately £400,000 per week. Similarly, Van Dijk is reportedly on track to agree to a two-year extension, securing his place at the club beyond the 2024–25 season.

For Salah, who’s currently in his eighth year with Liverpool, the new deal would see him reach a decade at the club—further solidifying his legacy as one of the Reds’ greatest ever players.
