Amorim reportedly wants the Manchester United star removed, as the Red Devils manager has expressed his dissatisfaction to the club’s board.

 

 

Reports suggest that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is planning to offload one of his players at the end of the season. After a poor campaign, INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the bold call to part ways with Erik ten Hag and bring in Amorim back in November.

 

Following a recent 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, United sit 13th in the Premier League table, and pressure is already mounting on Amorim to improve both results and performances. The attacking line, especially, has struggled—Rasmus Hojlund and Zirkzee have managed only five league goals combined.

 

With just a handful of Premier League teams scoring fewer goals than United, it’s clear that a summer overhaul might be necessary. One name that might not survive the shake-up is Alejandro Garnacho. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Amorim doesn’t see the Argentine fitting into his tactical system and reportedly wants him gone.

 

Apparently, Amorim isn’t happy with Garnacho’s lack of defensive work rate and has voiced his concerns more than once. While Garnacho’s attacking flair is evident, it’s said that Amorim values discipline and defensive contribution—qualities he feels the youngster lacks.

 

As a result, Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford is now uncertain. The 19-year-old has seen fewer minutes in recent games, and interest from clubs in Spain and Italy is already brewing. People close to Garnacho haven’t dismissed the idea of a transfer, especially if it means more playing time and confidence elsewhere.
