Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in their Premier League clash on Tuesday night.

Anthony Elanga, who has been in exceptional form, netted the only goal against his former club just three minutes into the game. He picked up possession deep in his own half before making an impressive solo run to score.

United pushed for an equalizer and showed promise in the first half but faltered after the break, allowing the home side to secure all three points.

Ruben Amorim was visibly animated early in the game, shouting at Joshua Zirkzee and instructing him to play further forward. Amorim’s decision to bench Rasmus Hojlund—who had scored against Leicester—was surprising, especially as Zirkzee, naturally a deeper-lying player, struggled to fill the striker role.

Realizing the tactical misstep, Amorim made changes at halftime. He brought on Hojlund for Manuel Ugarte, repositioned Bruno Fernandes in a deeper role, and restored Zirkzee to a more familiar attacking midfield position.
