The defender himself recently shared his excitement and honor upon hearing that Madrid were considering him. While the Spanish giants are keen on the center-back and are evaluating the possibility of signing him, there is one crucial question the club’s management must answer before making a final decision.

 

Does Real Madrid Actually Need Another Center-Back?

 

This season has been particularly challenging for Madrid’s defense due to injuries to key players like Éder Militão, Dani Carvajal, and David Alaba. Their absences created significant gaps in the squad, which led to the emergence of academy graduate Raúl Asencio, who has since secured a place in the first team.

 

With interest in Huijsen growing, Madrid must assess whether reinforcing their defense is truly necessary. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, while the club remains engaged in discussions about Huijsen, they have yet to decide if investing in the young Spaniard is the right move.
