Victor Lindelof is reportedly considering leaving Manchester United after Ruben Amorim vowed to carry out a “ruthless” squad overhaul this summer. The Swedish defender, who is 30, has faced limited playing time this season and has been dealing with multiple injuries. He hasn’t started in the Premier League this season and came on as a substitute in Sunday’s FA Cup loss to Fulham.

Amorim, who took over as head coach in November, has made it clear that making tough decisions about the squad won’t be a challenge. He emphasized that football often requires players to move on, and he prefers to be transparent in his approach. With plans to make significant changes, Amorim is committed to honesty, drawing from his own experience as a former player. Meanwhile, reports suggest Lindelof could return to his previous club, Benfica, when his contract ends in the summer, as United doesn’t plan to offer him an extension.
