Chelsea Finalize Agreement for New Defender: ‘Here We Go’
Chelsea Secure Deal for Brazilian Youngster Denner Evangelista
As the 2024/25 Premier League season approaches its conclusion, Chelsea continue their pursuit of a top-four finish. However, the Blues are also focused on strengthening their squad for the future, with their latest move targeting Brazilian prospect Denner Evangelista.
Chelsea Agree Deal for Denner Evangelista
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign the 17-year-old left-back from Corinthians. The deal is set at £8.25 million, with an additional £2.06 million in performance-based add-ons and taxes. Denner will officially join the London side in 2026 on a contract running until 2032.
Rising Star in Brazil
Despite not making his senior debut for Corinthians, Denner has impressed at youth level. The teenager has featured 18 times for Corinthians’ under-20 team, scoring four goals and registering one assist. Chelsea have shown a keen interest in Brazilian talents in recent years, previously signing Andrey Santos and Estavo Willian.
International Recognition
Denner’s potential has earned him a call-up to Brazil’s under-17 squad for the upcoming South American Championship. Interestingly, he is also the cousin of Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes. However, the young full-back will need to prove himself to break into Chelsea’s first team when he eventually arrives at Stamford Bridge.
