Everton 2-2 Man Utd
Everton squandered a 2-0 advantage, ultimately drawing 2-2 with Manchester United.
The Toffees opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Beto, who converted a set-piece, and increased their lead in the 33rd minute when Abdoulaye Doucouré scored a header off a rebound from Jack Harrison’s saved shot.
Manchester United, however, mounted a comeback in the second half, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a set-piece goal in the 70th minute, followed by Manuel Ugarte’s equaliser in the 79th minute.
In the final moments, Everton felt they were denied a penalty. The referee initially awarded a penalty, but after VAR suggested a review, Andy Madley reversed his decision, much to the dismay of Everton.
