Manchester United faced several injury setbacks in training this week, with Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo among the affected players.

It was immediately clear that Diallo would miss the Arsenal fixture, with reports indicating he could be sidelined for a couple of months. Arsenal will visit Old Trafford in just under three weeks.

Diallo’s absence is a significant blow, as he has contributed to 16 goals for United this season, including scoring four of their last six Premier League goals.

Initially, there was uncertainty about Mainoo’s availability for the Arsenal game, with some reports suggesting a recovery time of two to three weeks.

However, Chris Wheeler has since reported that Mainoo is likely to be out for approximately six weeks. If this timeline holds, he will certainly miss the Arsenal match.

Manuel Ugarte also sustained an injury in training, but his issue is described as a minor knock, making him more likely to be available for the Arsenal game.

Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez is confirmed to be sidelined due to an ACL injury. Other players expected to miss the Arsenal fixture include Luke Shaw and Mason Mount. Shaw is anticipated to return in April, while Mount’s return date remains uncertain.
