Three Manchester United players injured during training, with a 19-year-old set to make his debut against Tottenham.

Manchester United may face a shortage of key players for their upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham, as Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer sustained injuries during training this week. As a result, manager Ruben Amorim is considering giving 19-year-old Jack Moorhouse his first-team debut, with the youngster expected to be part of the squad traveling to London.

The highly anticipated clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium holds significant importance for both teams. According to reports from The Athletic, Mainoo’s injury is likely to sideline him for over two weeks, while Ugarte and Collyer remain doubtful for Sunday’s fixture. In light of these setbacks, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro might be reintegrated into the squad after recently falling out of favor.

During a press conference on Friday, Amorim addressed concerns about his squad’s availability, stating: “It was a good week until a couple of days ago when we encountered some issues. We are still assessing one player who is unwell, and we will make a decision over the weekend.”

Moorhouse, a promising talent from United’s academy, missed most of the previous season due to injury. However, he has been in impressive form this season, scoring three goals in seven appearances for the under-21 side in Premier League 2. His latest contribution came in a 2-0 victory over Tottenham’s youth team last weekend. Having recently joined first-team training, Moorhouse may be included in the matchday squad if Amorim deems him ready for senior competition.
