Chelsea advised to explore options to nullify their transfer agreement with Manchester United.

Chelsea have been advised to find a way to cancel their transfer agreement with Premier League rivals Manchester United.

 

Last summer, the Blues secured a season-long loan deal for England international Jadon Sancho, which included a clause requiring them to make the move permanent for a fee between £20-25 million. However, his time at Stamford Bridge has been underwhelming.

 

Sancho originally joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million but failed to make a significant impact at Old Trafford. Hoping to revive his career at Chelsea, the club he supported as a child, he has struggled to find form, managing just two goals this season.

 

Former Manchester United and England defender Paul Parker believes Chelsea may now regret signing Sancho. His recent off-field actions have also raised concerns, particularly his response to Marcus Rashford’s Instagram post, where he wrote “freedom”, a statement many saw as a criticism of United.

 

Parker condemned Sancho’s behavior, calling him immature and accusing him of using others to voice his frustrations. He also urged Rashford to avoid being dragged into unnecessary controversy. In Parker’s view, Chelsea are likely desperate to escape the deal but could struggle to offload the player elsewhere.

 

With Sancho underperforming and facing scrutiny from fans, Chelsea now find themselves in a tough position—either proceed with an expensive permanent transfer or attempt to renegotiate their agreement with Manchester United.
