“The young lad doesn’t fit into the Ruben Amorim system. Staying at Old Trafford would destroy his career like Rashford. Chelsea Reportedly Join Race to Sign Manchester United Winger Alejandro Garnacho Before Transfer Deadline

Chelsea have reportedly entered the competition to secure Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho before the January transfer window closes. The Blues are said to be preparing an ambitious move for the young Argentine, amid speculation that they are also leading the race for fellow United academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo.

Manchester United are believed to be open to offers for all first-team players as part of efforts to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. Following a spending spree of over £600 million in under three years at the request of Erik ten Hag, the club is now carefully managing its financial margins within league regulations.

Manager Ruben Amorim may be forced to approve the sale of United’s homegrown talents, as they would represent pure profit on the club’s financial records. While Marcus Rashford’s potential departure is expected to bring significant financial benefits, speculation surrounding the futures of Garnacho and Mainoo has also intensified.

According to Mail Sport, United have placed a £70 million valuation on both players, though no club has yet indicated a willingness to meet that asking price. Napoli have expressed strong interest in Garnacho, with Antonio Conte identifying the 20-year-old as the ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain for £59 million.

Now, as reported by L’Equipe, Chelsea have entered the race, with Stamford Bridge expected to be active in the final weeks of the transfer window. The Blues are reportedly considering departures for Axel Disasi and Christopher Nkunku, which could pave the way for new signings.

Manager Enzo Maresca is keen to reinforce Chelsea’s attacking options, and the club has reportedly initiated discussions regarding Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi.

While Garnacho is said to be open to a move to Napoli, the Serie A side has yet to return to negotiations after their initial approach was rejected by United. It remains uncertain whether the young winger would be equally interested in joining Chelsea if their pursuit intensifies.
