Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly been spending significant time at a particular club following his departure from Old Trafford.

Although his potential future role remains uncertain, Ten Hag appears to be closely monitoring the situation at Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. According to Sky Germany, the Dutchman has been a frequent visitor to Dortmund’s stadium since leaving Manchester United in late October, engaging in discussions with key figures such as director Sven Mislintat and chief advisor Matthias Sammer.

Sammer, who previously worked with Ten Hag when he was in charge of Bayern Munich’s reserve team, is believed to have a strong professional relationship with him. However, despite his presence at the club, there is no concrete indication that Ten Hag is set to replace current Dortmund manager Nuri Sahin.

While Sahin remains secure in his position for now, continued underwhelming performances could lead to a change in the near future, potentially putting Ten Hag in contention for the role.

Ten Hag’s tenure at Manchester United was marked by mixed success, securing both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup but struggling in the Premier League and European competitions. Despite his departure, he remains a respected figure in football, and his ongoing connections with Dortmund suggest he could be in line for a return to management sooner rather than later.
