Nkunku has struggled for playing time in the Premier League this season, starting only two matches. While he made a significant impact in one of those games, scoring and assisting against Southampton, he has been limited to just 21 minutes across two other league appearances since then.

Back in November, TEAMtalk reported that Nkunku was dissatisfied with his situation and contemplating his future at Chelsea. However, manager Enzo Maresca dismissed the claims, stating that Nkunku had assured him of his commitment to the club and was promised more opportunities in the Premier League.

Despite those assurances, a report from TBRFootball now suggests Nkunku has changed his stance and is prepared to leave after failing to secure a regular first-team role. His representatives are reportedly working on a January exit, with PSG still keen on reacquiring the forward.

Path to PSG

Nkunku previously played for PSG, making 78 appearances before leaving for RB Leipzig in the 2018/19 season. Recent reports indicate PSG remains interested in re-signing him, provided they can create space in their squad.

One potential avenue involves PSG offloading Randal Kolo Muani, who has been linked with various Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. It was earlier suggested that Kolo Muani might be included in a swap deal with Chelsea, but he now appears more likely to join another Premier League side.
