“Maguire did not save him. He is still going to be sacked” – A pundit has made a bold prediction regarding Erik ten Hag’s future after Manchester United’s 3-3 draw with Porto in the Europa League. Despite taking an early 2-0 lead, United failed to secure a win, allowing Porto to make a comeback. Though a late goal from Harry Maguire salvaged a point, the result has done little to ease the growing pressure on Ten Hag. The pundit suggested that the Dutch manager’s position at the club is now under serious threat and hinted that a sacking could be imminent if performances don’t improve.

Things continue to worsen for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United. After suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the Red Devils faced further disappointment with a 3-3 draw against Porto in the Europa League.

Things continue to worsen for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United. After suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the Red Devils faced further disappointment with a 3-3 draw against Porto in the Europa League.

Despite taking an early lead with goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Højlund, United allowed Porto to stage a comeback.

Brazil’s Pepe cut the deficit, followed by Samu Omorodion, who equalized with a header and later gave Porto the lead with a powerful finish shortly after halftime. Harry Maguire salvaged a point for United with a late header, despite Bruno Fernandes being sent off.

Although Ten Hag remained defiant in his post-match interview, stating they would continue to fight, talkSPORT pundit Jermaine Pennant believes the manager is on the verge of being sacked.

Pennant claimed that a loss to Aston Villa this weekend could seal Ten Hag’s fate, jokingly referring to him as “One Hag” with only one life left.

Despite receiving substantial backing during the summer transfer window, Ten Hag has yet to turn around United’s fortunes, and with no more excuses left, his future at the club is in serious jeopardy. A defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday could very likely result in his dismissal.
